This is the read-only 13-week view an individual officer sees of their own roster.
Generated from the roster — everyone rostered on (not RDO) for this date, grouped by shift time (Day, then Afternoon, then Night — same start times sit together). White fields are for the dispatcher: enter the unit, adjust meals, fatigue and comments as the shift runs. Only comments and an early finish flag the roster for review — entering a vehicle or meal time never does. If someone finishes before their rostered time, use "End shift early" — it records the time and reason, and opens a Cover Required entry on the Vacancy tracker.
AN Annual AT Accrued time LSL Long service SL Sick WC WorkCover PWC Pending WorkCover FL Family ML Military IRL Industrial relations School holidays Blacked out Nominations over the weekly cap are flagged for negotiation. Only approved leave feeds the roster.
Every gap is a paired record: what was lost, and how it was covered. Open items (Cover Required) are the live worklist of unfilled shifts.
Gaps are unfilled slots below a station's minimum staffing. Spares are officers rostered on but supernumerary to their station's minimum. Drag a spare onto a gap to assign them for that shift — they'll appear on the receiving station's duty sheet, and their home roster line will note where they moved.

Assignments made for this date

Spares who have been moved to another station.
Every roster, leave, duty sheet, and vacancy change that matters is recorded here — who, what, and when. This is the backbone the Public Records Act historical-record requirement calls for (see the intel document, section 11.2); a production build moves this to durable, compliant storage.

Approved Roster Templates

The library of approved fortnight patterns. Stations draw from here.

Staff & line assignments

Each officer sits on a numbered line; the line carries the template. One officer, one line — moving them vacates the old one automatically.

Students

A student sits alongside their mentor as a third officer — shown on the roster and duty sheet, but not counted in coverage or Reports.

Flexible work agreements

A time-bounded agreement placing an officer on a different template and station. On expiry they revert to their home line automatically.

Stations

Locations, grouped by district.

Shift types

Central default start/finish times. Stations can override where noted.

All data is stored in Firebase Firestore and shared across all signed-in users in real time. Use Export to keep a local backup, and Import to restore one.

User accounts

Manage who can sign in and what role they hold.
User accounts are managed here. Each account has an email, password, role, and optionally a linked staff record (required for the Viewer role so the system knows whose roster to show). To add a user: click "Add user", enter their email, a temporary password they can change, and their role. For Viewer role, also link their staff record.
